The subjects are
already here.
You sent your best film to London. The people it should have been about live thirty minutes from your American front door. That is the whole argument, and it is hard to argue with.
Thirty minutes from your office to the densest pool of FOH engineers on earth.
Closer, and a fraction of the overhead.
A West Coast partner you do not have on record.
In the engineers' backyard
The Art of Sound came from a UK studio on transatlantic overhead. Los Angeles is where the tours route, where the arenas are, and where the engineers come home between legs. We shoot where the subjects already are.
Slow and observational, on purpose
We do not make loud product reels. We find the film inside unglamorous engineering — the half-second a veteran finds the room. That restraint is the register your own brand language asks for.
The budget goes on screen
No flights, no international freight, no time-zone tax. The money that would have crossed an ocean stays in the frame, as crew, grade, and the extra day that makes a shot great.
Authored, not generated
The cheap version of this is a render that looks like everyone else's. Our answer is a director watching a person — the judgment and point of view a model cannot hand you. That is what you are actually buying.
Boring Stories finds the film inside subjects everyone else files under unglamorous. Audio engineering is exactly that subject.
We are a small, director-led studio. We work close to the subject, we keep the crew tight, and we believe the craft you have spent fifty years on has earned a camera that takes it seriously. This site is the proof — we built the concept in a week.
